I have been teaching English and History education for three years. I have experience on the 7th, 8th 9th and 10th grade levels. For the last three years my high school English courses have been centered on ACT prep. for the ACT/MME students take their junior year. My eighth grade curriculum focuses on strengthening testing scores, reading comprehension and writing ability (formal and creative). I also have taught Shakespeare and core minored in Shakespearean Lit while earning my English Degree. My experience with history education has been focused in geography, culture, western civilization, American history, European history and African American/African histories. A Little Bit About Me...

I am a recent graduate of the education program at Bowling Green State University and I have had a variety of experiences with children of all ages and abilities in and out of the classroom. I completed an 8 week field placement at Robinson Elementary in Toledo, OH where I assisted the teacher in a self-contained seventh and eighth grade classroom. I taught lessons in the areas of social studies, math and reading. I completed my student teaching placement at Elmwood Middle School in a 6th grade resource room. I taught several math units in this classroom as well as participated in an inclusion math co-teaching situation. I also taught Language arts in the resource room. Besides these two experiences I have participated in many reading intervention programs in several elementary schools. My favorite subjects to teach are reading and math.
