Next I have worked for Fairfax County Schools and for Fairfax County Program called SACC. My years in Richmond were with Chesterfield County Schools and Club Z Tutoring. For years, my passion has been “to gladly learn and gladly teach.” Since graduating from law school, I coached Cumberland’s National Arbitration team to two consecutive top 20 placements, taught “Criminal Evidence” to Miles College undergrads, and now will being teaching “Research and Writing” at the Birmingham School of Law. As a mother of two young children, I want to see all children exceed. Children learn through positive reinforcement and by slowly building confidence, as his or her work improves. Childen should not be made to feel inferior, but need approriate teachings to fit his or her personalities. All it takes is a little confidence to start off with, keep encouraging and praising, and this can be achieved when the tutor works with the child based on his individual strength to learn. My experience is one that has taken me many different places to meet many diffrent people. I have always had a gift of helping others and conveying to them my knowledge. I obtained my BA in English Communication from Talladega College and also i have a minor in History. I have had a great deal of expereince in writng papers, essays, articles ,and reports. During my time in college, I also tutored Spanish speaking students in the usuage of the English language.
I would say my teaching style is more relaxed. I believe this helps one see students weaknesses and strengths better. It also allows one to compare the overall effect of teaching for each student. When I see a student falling behind then thats when I take action and try top get them where they should be in that area.
