After graduating from college with a BA, I began working for an environmental restoration and public education program. We led large volunteer groups sometime of more than 100 people, in local park and forest restoration event, and also led youth groups on 10 day restoration and hiking trips in the national forest. After this I worked for a program that places tutors in schools that are in need, where i tutored K-5 students in reading, led a ESL class of about 10 students, and worked as a teachers assistant in the class room. I have spent the last several years at a monastery where I have had experience mentoring and working with the public in meditation programs. I have earned a BS in Biology with a Chemistry minor and an MS in Science Education. I also possess my Initial Educator Certificate in 7-12 Biology. I have experience with middle school, high school and college level students in classroom settings, but prefer the one-on-one setting where I can concentrate on helping students.
