I graduated from Saginaw Valley State University with a degree in Secondary Education and am certified in the State of Michigan to teach 6-12th grade English and math. Along with completing student teaching, I have substitute taught in various districts as well as tutored homeschool students. A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style would be to find the student's primary learning style and converting the information he or she needs into a format that fits that learning style. Each subject would be made as visible or concrete as possible, so that the student could interact with the material on more than just a visual/conceptual level. Showing the student how the material can relate to real-life situations and opportunities would be a vital part of the instruction.
After high school, I recognized in myself a desire to work with elementary- and high school-aged children. I have always been at the top of my classes and was heading for an engineering school before I discovered a love for helping kids.
