My comments on tutoring GED : 15 years of teaching and tutoring individual and groups

15 Years as High School Math teacher and 15 years as College Instructor. ! Math is one of my top subjects! Teaching is an Art, not any person can be a good teacher. GED is one of my top subjects! I have extensively tutored GED math for over eight years, both as part of a GED tutoring program and on my own. I have taught many students all of the GED math topics, from the basics such as arithmetic and fractions to the more advanced topics, such as algebra and geometry.

For over nine years I have extensively tutored all of the topics covered by the math section of the Praxis exam, including Praxis Core Math (5732) and Praxis Elementary Education: Multiple Subjects, Mathematics Subtest (5001/5003). Over the past two years, I took the Praxis Core Math test four times and the Multiple Subjects Test: Mathematics Subtest two times and achieved a perfect score each time. I am very familiar with the exam content, have excellent practice resources, and offer effective testing strategies. I have helped many struggling students pass their exams. My comments on tutoring GED : Have experience in teaching for the GED test in an individual setting.

I have over of 30 years of progressive experience in tutoring young children in the elementary years of education in all subject matter areas. My specialty is literacy and reading, but I am also adept in teaching all of the math curricula as well. I also firmly believe that teaching organizational skills and proper research methodologies are very important for the classroom today--and every child needs these skills in order to excel in the classroom and survive. I am also a qualified art teacher in the NOVA area.
I believe in tutoring so that the child receives feedback and fully understands his/her own limitations and how to overcome obstacles in class. Many children lack positivity in the methodology! I also believe that using art instruction helps children to learn in a more creative manner.
