German is one of my top subjects! I have studied German at a University level. I spent 1 summer semester in Bregenz, Austria. I spent 1 year at the University of Tübingen studying advanced German.

While I am still a university student, I have spent many countless hours studying German. I have studied it in an American classroom and a German classroom. I lived in Germany for 15 months, studying and living the language. I really love the German language and culture, and I'm really interested in helping others to love it as much as I do! A Little Bit About Me...

As a student of German at Bellarmine University, I was able to learn the German language through immersion experiences in Austria and Germany. I also studied German grammar and literature in depth through classes at Bellarmine. I was a tutor in the Academic Resource Center for two years as I was completing my degree and continued to work with students for a year after my graduation.
I enjoy the German language very much and love explaining how it works to students. Though students learn in different ways, practicing both written and conversational German is imperative to be successful in mastering the language.

I have taught high school and middle school English, as well as one year of teaching at an alternative school. Additional experience would include substitute teaching, Boys and Girls Club instruction, being a Girl Scout leader, and Sunday school instruction. Having worked in supplemental education for quite some time, I have learned to hone in on the unique understanding of each individual student's needs. I enyoy working with adults as well as children, diagnosing the fundamental needs and moving forward at each individual student's pace. My teaching style differs somewhat based on the student I am working with.
