Jefferson County Public School District" Champion for Children" outstanding award certificate tutoring program. Leadership & Responsibility award certificate, and most valuable tutor certificate. Preschool Teacher for 5 years and school age children for over 10 years.
My goals for each session is to keep the students challenged, but not over whelmed. I assist the students with a step by step spelling,and vocabulary lessons, this would help the students work hard on pronouncing difficult words and comprehend what they have read. I assign reading homework after every lessons to check their progress of their reading.

I have been teaching now for a total of four years. However, I have been working in the educational field for eight years. Prior to becoming a teacher, I worked as a library clerk. Also, I have experience as a tutor. I tutored for two years in an after-school program at a local church in my community. Currently, I am a special education teacher at Frederick Law Olmsted Academy North in Louisville, Kentucky. I mainly teach sixth grade language arts classes. I call myself of life because I am always open to learn new things and ideals about the world around us. I have read the bible each year since I was 16 years old and I have taught deaf adults in a church setting. I grew up in Louisville, KY and attended Male High School. I went to DeVry in Columbus, OH to study computer science. In January 89, I went to Eastern Kentucky University to study Retail Mangement.
