My job as an educator is to teach them how to learn it and make them want to learn it. I personally do not believe that negative reinforcement is beneficial. Positive responses to students are extremely valuable, even if they may occasionally give the wrong answer. This will give them the motivation to do well. I have experience teaching ballroom dancing to children as young as five and adults as young as 70!

Asking why and how we come to a conclusion rather than memorizing or mindlessly going through steps generates long term success.
