I do enjoy helping students with their problems. I have a technique of visualization. for example, which is the first example I use. I tell the student to think of a tree. in the seconds you think of a tree, you don't think of just the tree. you think of the roots, the trunk, the limbs, the branches, the leaves. then you think of whats going on in the tree, right down to the point of the tree taking in carbon dioxide and giving off oxygen and water. Why is the tree giving off water. most people do not know that the tree is making water because it is attaching hydrogen to the oxygen to get rid of the hydrogen, acid. I can apply this same visualization to almost anything.

My description of teaching involves directly explaining the material to the student and then have the student to teach me the subject or concept that was just learned. This insures that the student fully understands the concept, thus the concept can be applied to problem solving. In addition, I like to actually sit down with the student and go over the assigned or completed work to make sure that the student is understanding and applying the material correctly.
As a Magna Cum Laude graduate from Claflin University, I have just completed a bachelor's degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. A Little Bit About Me...

Having worked with students while earning my education degree, I believe that all students learn differently. After determining how students learn, it is easier to design a learning plan for your student. I do believe that total mastery of many science concepts comes from discovery and experiential learning. Hands-on activities and experiments help students internalize knowledge of processes much more quickly than memorization.
