I have earned my graduate certificate in Accounting and a bachelors in Business. I have always loved teaching. While attending high school, I helped assist with adult education classes at night. This allowed me to help others understand how to solve mathmatical problems by using other methods. I also worked as a substitute teacher for a few years working with K - 8th grade students. While planning for a career in medicine, I obtained a BS in biology with a minor in Chemistry. During the application and acceptance process I was an adjunct faculty member at a local technical college. My courses taught were remedial Algebra, biology, and anatomy and physiology. During the hours between classes I was a paid Tutor in the college's learning assistance center.
I wouldn't have a "professional" description for teaching style as my education was solidly based in the sciences. However, I believe that by teaching intuitive thought processes and critical thinking skills, students can easily adapt to the tasks given be they in science or liberal arts.

Since I've been tutoring, I have a saying that you already know what you know, so let's not worry about what you know but worry about what you don't know. I believe that everybody can relate to any subject if they can relate the subject to something the individual finds interesting. I am very patient and determined in not only helping a student find the answer but also wanting the student to know the method of finding the answer and being able to find the answer on their own in the future.
While attending Columbus State University, I volunteered by tutoring 2nd through 6th graders at the local Columbus Community Center.
