A Little Bit About Me...

Math and science did not always come easy to me as a student, so I know how frustrating it can be for someone to struggle in school. As a tutor, I work hard to give my students the confidence they need to succeed in and outside of the classroom. I find that it helps when students understand why the concept they’re working on is important and what it can actually be used for out in the real world. Focusing on this purpose gives students motivation, and I use this idea as often as possible. Furthermore, I pride myself on having a good, appropriate sense of humor and have the ability to keep the mood focused enough to get work done, yet light enough to alleviate some of the stress associated with working through difficult problems.

There were approximately 14 Seniors in the class and we utilized all of the Office programs from the creation of letterheads to the writing of business correspondence to mythical persons about various subjects. Subsequently I tutored high school seniors for the Princeton Review, an SAT prep business, for about a year and a half.
