I love working with all ages and generally prefer English as a Second Language students, but I enjoy working with everyone. My teaching style is very student centered as I try to figure out what a learner likes to learn and cater the instruction to them so it stays fun and educational. I love teaching because I truly enjoy seeing the light come on when a student gets it. I have had some excellent teachers in my life and have used their techniques to help students I tutor. My approach to teaching science is to begin by applying the basic principles of biology and chemistry to everyday life. I believe it’s easier to understand these subjects when they are related to human health and current events. I also try to create an environment where students felt comfortable asking questions and open discussions are encouraged. Being overwhelmed with information that is just not making sense can be frustrating and most teachers don't have the time to give individual attention to each student. Ever student has different needs and I can help them focus on areas they doesn't understand as well as others. I can also show students that studying can be fun.
