The individual needs of the student will direct my teaching strategies. I make every effort to be student centered. For example, "what is the best way to help this person understand reading comprehension?". Students have varying apptitudes and well as strengths and sometimes, weaknesses. I develop a strategy to help my students learn by exploring education through their own apptitudes and strengths. Doing this results in learning as well as reducing weaknesses.
I am a teacher and tutor. A good deal of my experience has been teaching Reading and Language Arts. I also have a degree in Learning Disabilities. I have taught general education as well as special education. I have taught at all levels. My most recent experience is in a primary class. While working on my Management MBA in Largo, FL I was elected head of the English Learning Center, and held this position for two years. The purpose of the center was to tutor international students in the English language and to assist them with paper and project revision. I do not have a particular style of teaching. I prefer to talk to the individual I am tutoring and together discover the best way to teach them the subject material. I believe that everyone learns information at a different pace and that some information is easier to process than other information. I believe that individuals should be comfortable while learning in order for them to actually learn. I would never force someone to learn "my way" and would work with them on developing a way that works for both of us.
