A Little Bit About Me...

1994-2000 Wagoner Middle School Subjects taught: 8th grade math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1 2002-2010 Coweta High School Subjects taught: Algebra 1 and 2, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, AP Calculus 2010-present: Tulsa Technology Center Math Specialist I have also taught ACT prep workshops as well as math related to construction trades. I was selected as Teacher of the Year at Coweta High School in 2005 and served as the math department chair.
I am offering online tutoring and will work with each student to determine what will work best for him/her. I am very patient and break down things so even the most complicated math topics are easy to understand.

I am very adaptive to students learning style. I usually spend the first ten minutes of our first meeting figuring out what the student is struggling with and how to best meet their needs. I try to teach students more how to think analytical more so then just solving problems because it is more beneficial to the student. I feel that if I can teach the student how to read theorems, understand concepts, then problems just become easy at that point.
I started tutoring part time in 2004 and have continued this throughout college. I worked as a math tutor for tulsa community college part time during the summer. I have earned over 190 hours of college credit, I have two degrees, and I am only 15 hours away from a chemical engineering degree.
