Positive Experienced Tutor

I am the mother of 3 children, two with college degrees and one currently in college. I was very involved throughout my children's school years, volunteering in the classroom, tutoring, etc. I have also tutored privately since my children left school. Prior to having children, I was a Systems Analyst for Servistar Corporation, and returned as a consultant for them for three years betweent my first and second children.
While I am not a teacher by profession, I have successfully tutored a variety of leraners in a variety of subjects, primarily math, english, science. I enjoy working with people and helping them learn in ways that reach them and help them gain understanding and ultimately success. I am positive and creative as well as determined to help each student.

A Little Bit About Me...

I am an upcoming May 2006 graduate from Allegheny College, majoring in English. Given my background at a small, liberal arts college and being a former biochemistry major, I have a great understanding of language arts, math and science. I have completed a 60 page research project as well completed numerous written projects throughout my college career, that have undoubtedly strengthened my writing skills. In high school, as well as in college, I have tutored students anywhere from the middle school level to the high school level in all subjects. Throughout my education, I have come to learn and adapt to many different types of learners.
