I student taught in a fourth grade classroom this past semester. The classroom consisted of 29 students. I taught all subjects and incorporated many hands on experiences with each subject. I have taught second, third, fourth, and sixth grades.
I was a camp counselor for five summers. During this experience I lead a cabin of females for a week at a time.
I will be living in Champaign, IL starting this August. I have grown a desire to work with children since my camp counseling job in 2004. I have been giving many opportunities to work with children due to my college training for a degree in education. I have found the balance between being a friend and authoritative figure with children through all of my experiences with children. I have learned to be patient, flexible, and loving in all given opportunities in life. I would love to be one who has had an impact on the future generation
