I strongly support the belief that all children are capable of learning if given sufficient opportunity. As a classroom teacher often facing as many as 37 students at one time, it was difficult to provide the appropriate learning environment for many of these children's needs. Through small group tutoring, however, the right learning environment can be created if the tutor fosters a positive relationship with the student. Developing such a relationship requires considerable patience and consistency on the part of the tutor. A Little Bit About Me...

I graduated with an M.Ed. in Higher Education and Student Affairs from the University of South Carolina in May of 2010. Directly after graduating, I began a career as an Academic Advisor in the Moore School of Business Undergraduate Division at the University of South Carolina. I currently still hold this job. I also taught a University 101 course to 25 incoming freshmen in the Fall of 2010. This course included helping the students get acquainted with resources on campus, learn study/time management strategies, and much more. I love working and being with children. I believe that all children learn new things in their own way. I am very patient and out-going. My main goal is to motivate and provide the best teaching possible.
I have been pursing my degree in Early Childhood Education at the University of South Carolina. I chosen to take a hiatus from the University so that I can gain more experience working with young children in an educational setting.
