I have a passion for teaching others and spreading my knowledge- I enjoy not only helping a student to understand, but to also become a mentor. What I have discovered about myself is that I learn differently from other people. I am the kind of person who prefers to set aside that assembly instruction manual and put together that Christmas toy by laying out the pieces in an orderly fashion. There is so much pleasure in problem solving. I learn by asking myself questions. I have little patience for mundane drills and memorization if they can be avoided. Each child is different. I have always had a desire to teach and be involved in education. After earning a degree in Broadcasting, I decided to change fields and get into teaching. I earned a CELTA (Certificate in English Teaching to Adults) from Cambridge University in 1999. Upon receiving that certificate I immediately began teaching English to adults.
