I can work with video editing, basic computer software, windows os, mac osx, computer hardware, and networking. I have worked many jobs and I want to dip my feet into to tutoring to see what it is like to help teach people about Computer Technology. I have been in management, computer IT, radio, roofing, janitor, and even fast food. I like to work in big groups and I feel like I have a good speaking voice along with a good attitude to my students. If a student has a problem I will guide them to help and let them understand what they are doing wrong. I am hands on teaching and want the students to understand what each part feels like on a computer.

I have a BA in Creative Writing, which I have put to use not only in my writing but I am a proofreader to several other beginning author’s stories. They rely on me to fix their grammatical, spelling and usage errors so their writing flows more smoothly. In reading books I enjoy teaching others the overall theme, morals and observations that the author was trying to convey. I have developed my love for math and statistical formulas by applying what I learned in math classes to enjoy following sports teams stats better. I find that using numbers in several different areas promotes interest and learning. I believe that the best way for a student to learn is to explain the basics of which subject I am teaching, show a few examples, and then let them discover how to obtain the answers in their own way. It’s very satisfying when I see a student’s mental light click on and their eyes light

Caleb N - Galena, MO 65656 (39.1 mi) - Desktop Publishing Tutor - $36.50/hr.
I believe teaching is best learned though practical examples (especially math). because I used to say the same thing that I'm sure that kids today are saying. When am i ever going to use this in my daily life? Its important to let them see the applications from knowing calculus based formulas to predict market declines (algorithms), to basic math in in inventory work, to understanding complex words and their proper sentence usage so they can understand what rudimentary or neophyte means in a job interview. Also, its important to inspire. most of the children/ teens in a tutoring course have been discouraged due to the fact that they are not picking up on a subject as quickly as their peers. That why its understandable that if they have someone to look up to, as i did, in a particular course they tend to do better and go beyond what they though originally possible. Over the last 4-6 years
