I ask questions, I make math fun!! I draw pictures. The assinments are OUR assignments the students are not alone. Math was hard for me too I GET why they are stuck!!
I work with students of various backgrounds, aging from pre teen to retirement age, many with learning disabilities, many who are also ahead of their peers. Each student brings to a tutoring session or a classroom his or her own self-knowledge about how he or she best learns, and in my teaching I always strive to draw this information out.
