A Little Bit About Me...

I attended Middle Tennessee State University from spring 1993-fall 1997, graduating in Dec. 1997 (B.S. degree). My major is art educ., my minor is secondary educ. My teaching license was in art educ./K-12. I was a member of The Gamma Beta Phi Society, the top 15% of my class. My gpa was 3.2 and I won two scholarships. I did my student teaching at the Lebanon High and at the Las Cassas Elementary Schools in fall 1997. I taught art at Mt. Juliet Elementary School, and taught private adult & children’s art classes at An Invitation to the Dance studio in Murfreesboro and at the Murfreesboro Art League. I have tutored several students (math, guitar, riding, reading, art, etc.)and worked mostly in the graphic and fine arts for my living.

As a graduate of a private, liberal arts institution, I am sure that having a well rounded educational experience will lead to excellence for the future. I earned my bachelor's degree in Biology from Transylvania University. This degree provided with strong math a science skills. I was also a Art History minor, in which writing and analyzing skills were imperative. I am a very well rounded individual with a lot of knowledge to share.
