I have always loved to teach children because it excites me to see them really grasp a concept, and overcome a hurdle they thought was beyond their reach. Each child has so much potential-far greater than any of us give them credit for when we first meet them! My teaching style would be that of Guided Discovery. This is a highly interactive style which leads the student to uncover the answer themselves as opposed to the teacher simply reciting the answer to them. Guided Discovery requires the student to learn by doing therefore developing necessary problem solving and deductive skills that will make them better learners and thinkers both now and in the future. I implement this style by asking leading questions, giving examples, making analagies and asking the student what they think or ask them to explain how they came upon a certain conclusion. A Little Bit About Me...

I have taught students using individualized, regular classroom and group setting. My last several years, I taught CPM, developed at UC, Davis; using problem-solving techniques in groups and basic computation skills in Algebra.
