I make sure that every topic that i go over is clearly understood. A clear sense of understanding can make any "boring" subject more interesting and fun to learn. I like to start with the basics of a subject and move into detail as required. If more time is needed on any one topic I am willing to go over it as many times as the student wants.
I have always enjoyed teaching. When i was in college I used to teach my juniors in subjects that they needed help in. My notes in college became very popular and are still being used today. I have taught at University of DC to a group of students for which I received very positive feedback. I have a done quite a few seminars in and out of college. I have a visual and hands on teaching style. I do believe that students learn better by doing labs and seeing demonstrations, not by just hearing lectures. My students thoroughly enjoy my demonstrations and labs. My goal is to do whatever it takes to ensure that my students are working to their maximum potential.
I have 5 years experience as a Biology, Chemistry, and now, a Physical Science teacher on the high school and middle school levels.
