Everybody learns differently at a seperate pace.

I am an undergrad at HACC majoring in Biology. I excel in English, math, basic human biology, environmental science, & study skills. I hope to become a high school teacher someday. Elementary Special Education Teacher

I spent one year as a day to day substitute teacher working all over York County in various special education classrooms. My second year was spent as a long term substitute at an alternative high school for boys where I taught all subjects. My third year I started teaching Specialized Preschool and did this for many years until I retired last year. My students had many exceptionalities. I had typical students visit my classroom every week to read to my students. I did leave Lincoln Intermediate Unit #12 one year to teach in Baltimore, Maryland. Let's make learning fun!!!

I have worked with children for over 15 years. During this time I have provide homework help and tutoring in Math, Reading and Spanish. The children that I have worked with range in age from 5 to 17 years old. I have also done an extensive amount of work with infants and toddlers in the field of early learning as a nanny. My experience in working with children of so many ages has helped me to know what steps to implement in order to make children feel comfortable and confident while addressing challenges to learning materials. I have always enjoyed math and reading as a student and spent a short period of time studying Spanish abroad. During my time in college I was even more hands on with the youth enrichment at my church, working as a counselor/mentor for Vacation Bible School and the after school program.
