I currently teach children and adults a variety of classes including painting, drawing, mosaic making, printmaking, fiber arts and collage. I believe that everyone is an artist and that everyone needs creativity of some sort in their life to create balance. By making art, I believe that other areas of academics improve by exercising the right brain as well as the left brain. All too often creative fields are tossed to the side , and schools focus on state testing...I firmly believe that art and creative fields in general are " sit-ups" for the brain and create a better balanced healthy human being...of any age or ability. Provide learning opportunities for students in areas of enhanced educational skills as identified, provide children the opportunity for improvement and advancement. My goals are to improve there understanding in a subject, and remembering certain things for tests and quizzes to get a great grade. My goal is to also have your child have a better understanding and feel confident about the subject they were struggling in before.

A Little Bit About Me...

As A recent graduate from a Liberal Arts School, I found it easy to connect with teaching as my calling. I have always driven for high levels of excellence in and outside the classroom and work force. Having an English and Philosphy background, I find it easy to critically think and annotate extensively works of literature. And from that I find that my skills are up to par due to writing research papers and annotating other people's work. My experiance as a student teacher at a private school in rural VT, allowed me to expand the pupils' minds to outside their comfort zone in order to learn about the world we live and the connection it has to literature.

After graduating college I taught elementary K-8th grade in NYC. I taught for one year and decided to live Paris, France teaching English. I lived in Paris, France for 1.5 years then moved to Rome, Italy, again teaching English. My experiences were wonderful as I met people who really enjoyed learning English and needed it for work. After 6 months I returned to the states and taught at a Junior High School on the Lower eastside of NYC. I left teaching after 10 years to market computers. My skills as an educator served me well and I did extremely well. After approximately 8 years I decided I wanted to go back to teaching, and have been teaching the use of computers.
