Creative Writing is one of my top subjects!

I believe strongly in adapting to the students style of learning. There is no "one size fits all" in learning. I think it is important to go beyond teaching the facts by exploring the bigger picture. Development of critical thinking skills should go hand in hand with teaching the test materials.

My comments on tutoring Creative Writing : Several published works in independent fiction publications. Two years experience as manuscript reviewer.

I graduated from Fitchburg State University in 2009 with a Bachelor’s of Science in English and Professional Writing. I went on to become a staff writer for the Lowell Sun, a daily print publication in Lowell, Massachusetts. When I was laid off due to budget cuts, I wrote freelance for several entertainment and political publications. I also worked for an independent publishing company as a manuscript reviewer for a year. Creative Writing is one of my top subjects! I have an MFA in Creative Writing from Southern New Hampshire University and have had 11 short stories published. I also edited the award-winning children's book Lucas the Traveling Crab by David Rawding.

I try to empower students to learn how to improve their writing. I start by showing what works well, the strengths of the piece itself.
