I always remember having a passion for education, for example my favorite game as a child was school where I got to be the teacher. Thus, I thought I had found my niche once I became a certified schoolteacher and secured my first teaching assignment. I was enamored with my students and the learning process. However, my enthusiasm quickly dissipated when the reality of “schooling” was revealed. I no longer felt joy, but heartache at the systemic annihilation of inner-city children. I have worked at West Virginia U for the last 10 years. I have worked as a Director, Academic advisor,Tutor and a mentor. I love to tutor Economics, Math, Statistics, Time Management and Learning Strategies. I now volunteer with Learning Assistance and Mentoring Partnerships(Lamp) Program.
I love working with children of all ages from elementary through High school. I;m patient and very considerate of each child learning style.
