I enjoy watching others learn and come to the realization that they can achieve their goals. My teaching/tutoring style is relaxed and pro-active. The more the student discovers on their own with only a little coaching and encouragement will last longer than if someone shows every step. I believe in a practical hands one real world method. As a Master's Degree graduate, I was very driven to succeed in the classroom across a variety of disciplines. I have an undergraduate degree in Psychology and have private tutored individuals across a variety of ages/backgrounds/abilities/disciplines. My primary focus areas are math, english/writing, psychology, and basic sciences. I am presently working as a substitute teacher. I am certified to teach mathematics in 7th to 12th grades. I have recently passed the Praxis II tests to teach science in 7th to 12th grades. I teach almost every day and I usually teach math or science classes. Previously I worked as an engineer. During this time I mentored and trained new engineers.
