Experienced Tutor with Expertise in Math and Social Science

I have been tutoring students of all ages since I was in high school. I began by tutoring my own peers in math and social studies. I would also tutor children from 1st grade on up in all subjects. Once in college, I tutored college students and younger in many fields, primarily mathematics courses. My specialty quickly became preparation for standardized tests as well as calculus because I have a unique ability to discover how each student learns and tailor the lessons to their needs. A Little Bit About Me...

I have been teaching and tutoring mathematics since the age of 15. I started working at a tutoring center where the student's ages ranged from 4-15. I then moved on to college where I studied math and computer science. I was a teaching assistant for Calculus I and II. My responsibilities included leading group tutorials and working one on one in the tutoring center on campus. At graduate school I taught Calculus I, II, and III as a standalone lecturer. I enjoy helping others understand statistical concepts as well as how they can be applied. I think it is important to have a great deal of patience when teaching and to always make it fun when possible. Also, I find it useful to remember that I was once learning statistics and remember the great skill of my professors and how integrative and exciting they made the process.
