My comments on tutoring Reading Comprehension : It's wonderful fun to ascertain exactly what is written and what the author intended. enthusiastic teachers make for avid learners.

I am always working to make learning engaging, vital and fun. I have implemented school-wide science fairs, maintained an ongoing chess club, created community-wide mental math competitions, presented at various professional conferences, and directed the district environmental summer program at the school forest. My students videotape flora and fauna, study the stars first-hand, plant and nurture an urban garden, start our own worm farm, and over the years have planted hundreds and hundreds of trees. My comments on tutoring Reading Comprehension : For helping students read through a passage and understanding what happened, the significance, etc. Not necessarily test prep., though the same basic ideas can be applied.

I have no formal teaching experience, only what the demands of life have taught me. I have helped fellow students with the day's lesson and homework. I have also taught new member of my church's tech team the ropes of the computer and production which includes quick-thinking, concentration, improvisation, and teamwork.
Everything is primarily example- and real-life-based, but I can cater to most individual learning styles.
