I am a recent graduate of Auburn University in International Business with a specialization in Economics. Spanish is one of my top subjects! Years within the country; years of study.

I spent a year in Spain teaching English to elementary school students through games and interactive methods. I tutored Auburn students during my time there, and have worked with kids of all ages since I was 12. I am fluent in Spanish and highly proficient in French. My travels have taken me throughout Europe and I love to communicate not only language but the cultures that speak those languages as well. My English writing essays have been chosen for scholarships and competitions, and my experiences with foreign languages have deepened my understanding of our own spoken language.
I believe that for languages, immersion is the best, if most impractical, way of teaching. A Little Bit About Me...

Children need a good foundation to learning. My program of teaching includes vocabulary, grammar, composition, reading, and pronunciation. Of these skills the most important are reading and correct pronunciation. I incorporate TESOL methods such as The Communicative Approach, Graduated Interval Recall and The Rassias Methods into my teaching program because they stimulate learning that the student remembers and uses immediately. The methods I use ensure that the child will never get bored and will retain what they learn and will want to come back to learn more.
