As a graduate from the University of San Diego with a Bachelor of Arts in sociology I have gained knowledge and expertise in communicating with people, presenting information, and expressing myself in papers, essays and reports. Following the completion of my degree I had the opportunity to become a baseball coach where I fully utilized my communication skills in my attempt to enlighten the players.

I worked as a camp counselor for 3 summers, and understand that everyone has different learning styles. Personally, I am a visual learner, and I understand that when teaching lessons it is important to incorporate all aspects of learning: touch, sound, visuals, etc. I am energetic and creative and would rather do hands-on activities to drive the lesson home than to sit and memorize lists forever. Since I have a deep understanding of the English language from my Greek studies, I can help students remember the meanings of words with creative mnemonic devices. Having attended higher learning institutions for over 6 years, my drive for more education is apparent. Throughout my experiences, not only have I been tutored, but have tutored my peers in mostly math and sciences. I have developed my speaking and writing abilities through my own employment experiences and feel that I have what it takes to teach and train individuals manual labor skills as well as mathmatical skills and abstract thinking and problem solving skills to help them understand concepts and apply them to a task.
