Teaching to me is about how to engage the student. The material that is prepared for daily lessons can be nothing more than just words to some students. The instructor must become one with the student and understand them on their level. Once you can see eye to eye with your students, then you can begin to help them learn and grow. I learn right along with my students, gaining interpersonal skills from every student. The student's feedback and honesty helps me as an instructor meet the needs of future students. I have formal education experience as a science teacher in both the middle school setting (2 years), and the high school setting (1 year). I also have 3 years of informal education experience that will help me connect with students. I worked as a science educator for three years at the Louisville Science Center, creating labs and demos on every science subject. A Little Bit About Me...

For the past two years I have been employed as a Graduate Assistant at Morehead State University. My responsibilities as a graduate assistant included the preparation of laboratory materials, assisting professor in the lecture as well as the laboratory of undergraduate courses, tutoring students in addition to providing support in the classroom, directing students on laboratory techniques, proctoring and grading exams and other assigned materials.
