Psychology is one of my top subjects!

Generally I will try to ask questions to see which specific points a student needs assistance with and make sure they understand the material on a fundamental level. I also believe that practice and hands-on experiences teach the most, so there tends to be an emphasis on working through problems step-by-step than lecturing. Ultimately I am flexible, and can change my style and routine to accommodate the students' needs.
While at the University of Tulsa I have tutored in both math and chemistry, so I have experience with those subjects in particular. Though I received a bachelors in Psychology I was also pre-med, so I was required to take several heavy science courses as well. As such I am also proficient in several biological subjects.

Students can be visual, auditory or tactile learners, and often many students are a combination of each learning style. I like to make learning fun and I use various unique strategies with students that fit into each individual’s way of learning. I encourage students to ask questions and create a dialogue between teacher and student. I believe one of the best ways to learn through teaching, and I encourage my students to think about how they would teach the material to their peers.
