I changed from being a registered pharmacist to teaching because I so enjoy seeing students learn, especially when they "get it". I had to be especially aware that online students require a different learning paradigm than on-campus F2F students. I would give as much time as needed to an interested student. Teaching online also involved ESL students, which required cross-cultural awareness.
