I graduated from the University of Central Arkansas with a double major in Psychology and Philosophy. I also received a minor in Interdisciplinary studies through the Honor's College at UCA. I wrote several different research papers in Psychology, excelled in critical thinking and symbolic logic courses in philosophy, and also completed an undergraduate thesis through the Honor's college. I would be able to improve any child's critical thinking and writing skills. I completed my Bachelors of Science by taking math courses my senior year and would also be able to tutor any math classes, except for calculus. I show my students how to properly do a task or work through a problem and then I'll help them master the task or problem solution. It's important that my students can independently solve similar problems by using and adapting demonstrated methods. I am interested in encouraging student participation and adapting their presentation to include various learning styles. Students are expected to take some responsibility for learning what they need to know and for asking for help when they don't understand something. A Little Bit About Me...

I have been involved in a lot of activities and feel the best way to teach is to relate to the student. As a tutor, I have worked with many different types of students and I found a way to relate the information to something they were interested in. I believe all students are capable of learning the material; it just has to be presented in a way they understand.
I received my BS degree in 2007 in pre-medicine. I majored in pre-professional zoology and I have a minor in biochemistry. I also worked at the Talent Development Center as a tutor for biology, botany, chemistry and biochemistry. I consider myself a facilitator, not an authoritarian. I ascribe to the principles set forth by Malcolm Knowels and Benjamin Bloom. I rely on the strength and motivation of the student. I hesitate to call myself "teacher." I think I serve better as a guide which, hopefully, leads his client not just to a more enlightend place, but also to the place the client wants to be, or had in mind in the first place.
I started teaching Music in 1984. I taught part-time, temporary while pursuing education goals and working as a professional musician.
