I have been teaching English since 1974. My experience is in teaching learning disabled, accelerated, and students in the middle range. I have taught grades 6-12 along with adult education. I have tutored for the state of Indiana. I have taught literature, traditional grammar, writing, speech during my forty years as a teacher. My comments on tutoring Shakespeare : Very successful at teaching not just the basics but also the conventions and joy of Shakespeare.

I have taught nearly all areas of language arts including, but not limited to, ECA/GQE remediation, SAT/ACT prep, beginning-intermediate-advance composition, AP English/literature, poetry, American literature, British literature, drama, speech, and school newspaper. I have, in addition, worked with school drama productions, encouraged my "poetically inclined" students to participate in school poetry slams and co-founded a student art/literary publication.
