A Little Bit About Me...
My preferred teaching style is to use questions to teach the student to think about the subject in more than one way.
I have experience in a variety of fields, both in education and in the business world. I have experience teaching high school economics and speech in a traditional setting, and a variety of subjects in a homeschool setting. My best subjects are history, especially American history, and economics. In history, I advocate studying events from a variety of perspectives, and seek to impress the student with the importance of understanding the perspectives of those who lived in various time periods. In economics, I am a strong proponent of the Austrian School of economics, which eschew political agendas in favor of describing the likely outcomes of various policy proposals, but I am versed in other schools of economics, as well (Keynesianism, the Chicago School, Class ... read more
