Genetics is one of my top subjects! I have been a genetics counselor for 13 years. Masters degree in genetic counseling from Arcadia University. I am also certified as a genetic counselor. Worked as a genetic counselor in a prenatal setting, metabolics, newborn screening, and molecular genetics. My expertise is in metabolic genetics but all human genetics is in my range of experience. I can also assist with the certification exam for genetic counseling.

I believe students learn in different ways so I will make sure to provide different formats to allow the student to achieve learning success. There will be written work, visual presentations by myself as well as having the student present what they have learn to demonstrate comprehension. If there are any questions, please ask!

The purpose of my teaching is to allow every student to succeed. I will try any way possible to reach this goal for every child. Working in the sciences, I feel that inquiry learning is important and hands-on experience is essential. Each student has their own way of learning best and I try to find that learning style and use it whenever possible.
I graduated from IUP with a degree in Biology Education. I am certified in Biology and Middle School Science. I taught for one semester at Central Bucks School District where I taught Academic Biology, Astronomy and Oceanography. I then taught two years at Gateway School District where I taught 8th grade physical science. I now have a permanent position at Yough School District where I teach 7th grade Life Science. Upon graduation from West Virginia University I received a BS degree in Forensic and Investigative Science with an emphasis in Chemistry and Examination. The emphasis means that I have chemistry qualifications required to perform analysis in a lab. I have taken everything from Chemistry in high school to several courses beyond Organic I and II. I was a member of the NHS and had the responsibility of tutoring students in high school level math, chemistry, and biology.
