Believe in yourself, and you are half-way there!

My teaching style depends on the student. I am comfortable with trying different study methods in order to figure out why my student is having trouble with a particular subject.
I have a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. I love being able to help students feel comfortable with the material they are studying. I have tutored numerous times throughout college, and would like to get back into tutoring students because I find it to be rewarding. As a student who went from living in Germany and being taught that there are many ways of getting the right answer, to moving to America where everything is taught in one way, I have learned to incorporate my tutoring skills to the need of each individual student. I try to figure out what works best for every individual and help them focus on their strength and improve their weaknesses.

In my job I have been teaching my clients for 30 years. While I hold a BA in American Labor History, I have a deep knowledge base of Central Asian, Near East and Asian history obtained from business experience. While my clients have been adults I have tutored children on an informal basis when asked.

After getting my high school diploma with honours in France, I earned a MA in Political Sciences and a BA in English literature. I Upon arrival to the USA, I tutored young children (ages 3-10) in French as part of after-school programs for a year. I would like to tutor students of all ages in French as my native tongue but I can also tutor children in reading, history, philosophy.
I believe that I can communicate my knowledge of French being my first language to all children. I try to work with the primary teacher's lesson plan and I believe in proactively going over the lesson, anticipating questions and reviewing the points which can be difficult to understand. My teaching style is a combination of serious, in-depth theory and practical examples to demonstrate such theories, all with a hint of humor, followed by significant practice of the newly learned skills.
