As a high school student, I attended Tiffin University to gain college experience and credit earlier than expected. After graduating from Clyde High school, I went on to Ohio State Mansfield, where I majored in psychology and special education. I am currently a full time student at Ashford University online. I am studying to become an advocate for special needs persons and children. I have been tutoring students professtionally for the past year. I specialize in reading and math. I truly miss teaching and mentoring kids. I approach teaching as an opportunity to bring out the maximum potential within each student. I am a firm believer each student views learning differently, meaning as educators we need to ensure no student is left behind. Working with grades 7-12 I used various methods of teaching different age groups. I use every day applications for courses to make it symbolic and understandable for students. I look for their strengths and weaknesses and focus on the areas of difficulty. I use the internet for an approach to their needs and some times testing. I show my students how to properly do a task or work through a problem and then I'll help them master the task or problem solution.
