Patient and Supportive, but always Persistent

I have logged over 5,000 hours of tutoring in the last four years. I have worked for a game company, which taught me how to approach tests as a contest between student and test-maker, and my extensive background as a writer gives me practical experience when it comes to teaching English and related subjects. I have just completed a Master's Program in the Arts of Teaching at Sacred Heart University. I completed 10 weeks of student teaching where I took on all the responsibilities of a full time 7th grade English teacher. Throughout all of high school and college I worked with children ages 3-15 and taught them how to swim in a Massachusetts accredited program in my hometown. I enjoy helping other people learn, and I get a sense of satisfaction when they grasp new information. I have tutored students needing help with homework assignments or studying for an exam. I requested that they bring their notes and textbook so that I use them as a reference when teaching. I can either answer specific questions or walk through the material.
