I believe that people learn in different fashions. For example, I feel that some concepts may be better explained with tangible objects while other concepts are learned better when questioned and discussed. By exploring the different ways of learning we can find what works best for that individual and use that method as a tool for their understanding. As a teacher I have always desired to teach in a way that I know I am communicating with my students. My teaching style includes making eye contact with my students to make sure they are with me. If I sense that their eyes have "glazed over," it is time for a change of pace. I might interject some humor or tell a short story to give them a break. I know that learning is hard work.
