My teaching style depends upon the student I am tutoring. I totally coach the student in a manor which best befits that student. Since no two students are alike, I do what is best for each individual person. I love teaching because I myself am an avid learner. I have a passion for the subjects I teach and hope that I can instill this same passion in those I teach. I believe that every student can learn the information taught in class, it's more a matter of finding out how each individual student learns. A Little Bit About Me...

I have always loved to read and write, and my love of the written word is what led me to obtain both my BA and MA in British and American Literature. I had the opportunity to begin teaching at the College level when I was in my Master's program and continued teaching College Writing courses to Freshmen for two years after I graduated. After moving to Lincoln, Nebraska to begin work on my Ph.D. I started working at a Writing Center at a local Community College. My two years experience as a Writing Tutor has given me the wonderful opportunity to hone my skills as a tutor and teacher and to learn to help student's with varying needs; including, ESL, non-traditional adult students, and those with learning challenges.

A Little Bit About Me...

I love teaching kids. All kids can are different in the way they learn. you need to be able to recognize those kids who are auditory learners, and hands on learners and be able to make a good balance of both so both kids may benefit. I like to set goals for each tutor session weather it be something like learning the alphabet or knowing you first ten multiplication facts. You then need to set one long term goal for that child to reach. this way each day they feel as if they have succeeded and learned something. I hope i can be an educator who can make just a little difference in children's lives.
