Currently pursuing my second Bachelor's degree, I have been exposed to a wide variety of curriculum. A Little Bit About Me...

I left full time teaching 3 years ago. I was the whole math dept. I taught 6,7,8,9th grade math in a private school. I did not realize how much I would miss it. I sometimes day dream about how I would teach a certain topic a different way. I have always thought that teaching is magical. When you have been working with a child and trying to get an idea from your head to theirs, and they say with a light in their eyes "I get it" WOW, what could be more magical.

I have earned my Bachelors of Science in Computer Science. I love computers and programming as well as web design. I was even a Teacher Assistant for a Data Structures class at my university (CSI 310) in which i helped students with homework and programming assignments. In this role i helped students learn concepts such as linked lists, tree structures, recursive thinking as well as other types of data structures. I have also done a lot of math in my pursuit of my computer science degree and will more then gladly help out with math related questions as well.

I began school as a Biology major for 2 years, so I have a great science background. I love to teach children. I finished my Masters program in December 07 and began teaching at the school I did my internship at, Briarcliff MS. I taught grades 6-8 and filled in for a Special Ed teacher at the end of the year. Also during that time I tutored a group of 6 graders in Math.
I don't think there is anything better than the feeling of helping a child learn. Every student have the ability to learn, we have to adapt our teaching styles so that all students can understand. A Little Bit About Me...

While I was an undergraduate, volunteering was very important to me. One of the places I volunteered was an after school program for children who live in Hamilton Hill. While I volunteered there I helped many of them with there homework as well as extra reading and writing to help improve those skills. I found that my psychology major as well as my education and english minors were very useful and helpful to help tutor in all subjects.
