Have been working in the interpreting field since I graduated with my degree in 2007. I work primarily as a community interpreter as well as post secondary education. I also have had the opportunity to mentor and sight supervise University interns. In 2012 I received my national certificate for interpreting from the Register of Interpreters for the Deaf. I think it is always important to learn what the client wants from the tutoring experience and go from there. My experience in the teaching field has been primarily as a substitute on a daily basis. I have some long-term sub assignments in my resume as well. For the past 7 years I have limited my assignments to "Home/Hospital". I meet 5 hours per week with each student to provide complete instruction in all subject areas for the student(s) unable to be in the regular classroom setting due to illness.
