I truly enjoy teaching. It is life-long passion. I have spent my eleven teaching years working with 9-12 grade students, and I have loved every moment. I am patient and easy going. I love teaching and working with children of all ages. As an undergraduate, I participated in a Writing Fellowship, which allowed me to meet with students to work on their writing. Through this individualized tutoring style, I developed an appreciation for working one-on-one with students and peers, and began to develop a highly personal, creative style of tutoring. I tend to employ a quiet but direct approach to learning. Q and A sessions begin each session. We review the homework and past experiences of the student. I encourage students to write down their concerns and mark the areas of confusion at the time these arise. That way the students don't forget to bring them to my attention. A Little Bit About Me...

I received my BSE with a specialization in English from Millersville University in December of 2009. Shortly after, I became an extended day substitute at Boyertown High School. During this time, I assumed the role of the teacher, taking on all of her responsibilities. When she returned five weeks later, I became a daily substitute filling in where I was needed. In addition to teaching, I also work part time at local center where I tutor elementary students, and high school students. I help prepare high school students for the verbal portion of the SAT tests, and help elementary students with reading, phonics, vocabulary, and math skills.
