QUALIFIED TEACHER & EXPERIENCED TUTOR CELL: 5713159833

I have been tutoring for nearly two decades; having lived and taught both in the U. S. and abroad. I am a highly qualified teacher in Elementary & Middle School & also in Special Education. I have had all successful experiences working one to one to teach, review, and reinforce skills in all subject areas in K.G. to 7th grade. I am patient and kind and can keep a student focused for each lesson by breaking down concepts using time frames to maintain attention.
I not only help my students understand the subjects in which they are being tutored, but I also teach them important study skills and help them build confidence in their own abilities. One is never too young or old to enjoy the benefits from tutoring, and it is often a question of just a few months or even weeks before students are back on track.

Resident Artist and an ASL PRO.

For art, I give direction, let students paint or do art however they want, then I help if needed. I give them pointers and tips for making their pieces better. Art is really how the artist sees it and what they like in the long run. In Sign language, I teach them songs to sign too from the radio and also teach words then becoming sentences. Within a two week period you can learn up to 100 words and a song.
I am a resident artist. I have been an artist for the last 12 years. I have sold my art works in cafes and galleries in cities in: Washington, DC, Chicago, Milwaukee and Virginia. The mediums, I use are: oil pastels, Acrylic paints, ceramics, recycle materials, jewelry materials and more. I have taught children and adults of all ages. Everyone is an artist.

I use a personalized and 'hands-off'/demonstration style of teaching. I dislike telling a student that there is a certain method they should use, instead preferring to suggest and show how I would approach a problem or get them to approach a problem differently than how they are at that moment.
I have been teaching for the past two years in the art field and related. I taught at TIC Summer camp in the summer of 2012 how to use the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, etc.). I am currently working with an after school program that teaches children between the ages of 6 and 12 what goes behind videogame creation.

I am young creative and talented artist perfecting my craft everyday. I started dealing with computers in 2005 when I was in high school studying computer programming. When I graduated I moved to the major of graphic design, when I got to college it showed me that I really had a love for art. Production wise I have completed many projects of promotional and marketing advertisements. Advertising is one of my major strengths also photo touchup/manipulation. I have a gift of being able to get the best out of someone, I was employed at a Homeless shelter in MD and before I moved on I can say 12 males went to further their education from the facility. Graphic Designers are creative problem solvers.

I have been a Graphic Designer since 2008 specializing in Print Media. I have an expert knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, and Adobe Photoshop. I work full time as a Graphic Designer and Part Time as an after school Elementary Art instructor (teaching drawing and cartooning). Art is my passion. I was enrolled in private drawing lessons at the age of 8 and continued to study fine art through college. I paint and draw and craft for fun.
I am all about a hands on learning experience. I have the student take thorough notes about the programs I teach so they can go back and learn on their own. Graphic design is all about problem solving so I challenge my students to figure out the solution in a creative way where they will retain the information.

My teaching style is adaptive. Each person, especially in the field of art brings with them a skill level and an appreciation for a certain style. Children often are not taught the freedom of pursuing styles that are outside of the traditional realistic scope of artwork. I will ... read more

A Little Bit About Me...

I have been teaching/tutoring for over nine years for public schools and citywide programs. I provided appropriate educational instructions though a combination of direct and indirect services to meet specific needs of students with disabilities in the least restrictive environment.
Education is like a meal ticket. Children need to eat, breed and have a thirst for knowledge. As teacher, students need to be taught knowledge as information is received for food nouirshment for their bodes. Having a thirst for education lead to opportunities for their children to be able to provide for oneself and able to put food on the table for others.
