Focused Instruction in the Field of Science and More

I have had experience in the classroom teaching the three major sciences (physics, chemistry, and biology) at the high school level and also did an apprenticeship as part of a graduate program for UT Health Science Center at San Antonio. My combined experience allows me to construct learning models based on analysis of individual students. I try to fit my teaching style to whatever the student is comfortable with. Basically, I first determine why a student needs to learn a particular concept in terms of the specific course, and then I work with the student to figure out the best way for the student to understand the concept. Because I have worked as a Researcher and Statistical Consultant as well as a Tutor, my first order of business is to determine what the real problem is, i.e., what are the reasons that the student is having trouble with a particular assignment or concept. Solving problems is much easier when they are well-defined.
