I have tutored many kids in different fields including math, science, and English. I am a recent neuroscience graduate at Michigan State University and have quite a broad background in science so I would be able to help in many of the fields that I have listed for that as I have taken some advanced courses in that field. I also have experience working in tutoring centers and tutoring at my high school when I was part of the National Honor Society, in which I was more focused on math tutoring. I would be happy to help in tutoring in any of the subjects that I listed which I do currently has listed, as more focused on math and science for elementary through parts of high school

My comments on tutoring English ESOL : Minor in teaching English as a second language. Experience with working with students in Thailand.

I can teach in any style that suits the student. I am flexible with whatever excels the students learning the most.
I have taught a large array of children and adults, anywhere from a 2nd grader struggling with reading to adult Burmese refugees. I have the patience and flexibility to successfully work with anyone. I started tutoring when I was around the age of 13. I taught a young Korean girl English, where I would have to create my own lesson plans. While I attended Okemos high school, I partook in volunteering experiences that dealt with tutoring. For two years, I was placed at an elementary school where I would tutor 1st-5th graders biweekly with anything from basic math to practice with reading. As a German major, I know what is involved in learning a foreign language. I taught German for two years to 1st-3rd graders, taught English language and American culture to 14-19 year old students in Austria, and have some experience teaching English to middle school students. Most of my experience teaching English comes from 8 months of planning lessons and teaching English to Austrians. I have lived in both Germany and Austria, and have studied German for 9 years. I am comfortable and confident in my skills teaching ESL and German, at any level.
